Started playing golf at the tender age of 12 years while working as part time caddy, Raju developed keen interest in the game. He aspired to be a professional golfer one day. Through his hard work and extraordinary determination, he was eventually selected into the Singapore national team from 1999 – 2002, playing many tournaments in Asia. Raju became a professional golfer in 2003. Raju never stop learning and educating himself. After attaining his tour professional status, he continued to upgrade himself by attending many PGA seminars, both locally and overseas. These include Dr Carl Morris training “Your Golf Brain”, courses and seminars by world-renowned coaches like David Mile, Peter Senior, Gary Edwin.
